World Happiness Report 2022, Nepal comes first in South Asia as the happiest country


 As per the World Happiness Report 2022, Nepal is the Happiest country in south Asia for the year 2022 with a rank of 84th position. Nepal has been ranked higher than the other seven countries of South Asia just like the previous year. The Himalayan nation was the happiest country of South Asia in 2021 and it still is. 

Nepal has been ranked at 84th position followed by Bulgaria out of the total 146 countries as per the world Happiness Report 2022. A total climb of three positions this year for Nepal as the country was ranked 87 last year as per World Happiness Report 2021.

Bangladesh is Ranked 94th, Pakistan at 121, Sri Lanka at 127 and India at 136th position. Fellow neighbouring country has been ranked 72nd position this year. The ranking of happiness has been based on the three year average 2019-2021 ( as mentioned in the report). 

Moving on to the happiest country in the world in 2022

The world's happiest country for the year 2022 is Finland yet again as per the report released on Friday and this is the fifth time Finland has been able to bag the top position. Following up Finland is Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and Netherlands respectively. 

The world Happiness index is explained by six factors. The index is taken from a total of 150 countries and are ranked accordingly by taking the average of different affecting factors.
