Banks with Free C-ASBA service while applying for IPOs in Nepal

C-ASBA charge is basically a charge taken by a bank while applying for any issued IPOs from the applicants regardless of the outcome ( whether alloted or not). 

As of writing, there are not many banks left that provide free C-ASBA service while applying for any issues IPOs in Nepal. There used to be a few banks that did not take C-ASBA charge a little while ago but the number of those banks have shrink down to just a handful as a couple of banks that provide the free service has started to charge a certain amount. 

How many banks provide Free C-ASBA?

There are only four banks left that provide the free C-ASBA service while applying for any issued IPOs in Nepal

1. NIC Asia Bank Limited
2. Mega Bank Limited
3. Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited
4. Nabil Bank Limited

However, looking at the current scenario, we can not be very sure that these banks will not take C-ASBA charge in future. 

Many people are not happy with banks deducting the C-ASBA charge while applying for the IPO but that is how it goes. There has been a sudden craze of IPO in Nepal after the COVID and number of Demat account is increasing and touching the mark of 50 lakhs. 

Any new issued IPOs are getting more than 25 lakhs of applications but with limited number of shares issued by companies, the IPOs are usually oversubscribed by huge margins, so only few are allotted with 10 units (which is a minimum share allocation units). 

The minimum C-ASBA charge taken is Rs 10 while the maximum amount is Rs 100.
