Nepal is open for tourists in 2022 but get vaccinated first

The first month of 2022 does not seem to be a bright start for the tourism industry. The new variant might have had a effect but the number of COVID-19 cases are increasing once again. However, the positive part this time is that most of us are already vaccinated but with new variant, everyone is a little careful this time.

Increase in the covid cases

Nepal has seen a sudden increase in daily new cases of COVID-19 in last couple of weeks - new cases ranging from couple hundreds to crossing 4000 mark (latest update). So with the increasing cases, ministry of health, CCMC and concerned authorities have made few changes regarding the health and safety.

To start, Nepal is still open for tourists for different tourism activities and travel agents, hotels and other tourist accomodations are operating smoothly. So tourists can still visit Nepal in the coming days but get updated about the latest travel entry protocols before you plan your trip.

There will not be immediate lockdown as of now but if the situation heads on and cases keeps on increasing then there might be lockdown at specific places/areas if only needed. Having said this, visitors needs to be aware about and plan their trip wisely for the next few weeks if they heading on for Nepal tour.

Why should you get vaccinated before traveling to Nepal?

As per the new health and safety guidelines, anyone seeking the public service or visiting any public or government sector, one should show their vaccinated certificate or card. So better get vaccinated before you visit Nepal which might let you visit and get access to different places easily. The most important part, however, is the safety, so get fully vaccinated

Also if you are planning a trip, find the latest update regarding the entry protocols to Nepal on the website of Department of Immigration, Nepal. The new update has a slight change than the previous notice. Be updated with the latest entry protocol if you are traveling anytime soon.

Well, Nepal is open for tourists, so travel free and have fun.
