Himalaya Airlines which is the only private international airlines of Nepal becomes first in Nepal to get ISO 9001:2015 certified. On Monday, the airlines company posted about its achievement on their Facebook page along with the certificate which was awarded for 'Providing Air Traveling Service for Passengers and Freight including Aviation related training services'.
Himalaya Airlines received the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certificate late last year (2021) on 29 December in the recognition of organisations Quality Management System (QMS)
However, this is not the first time for Himalay Airlines to receive the ISO certification, the airline company has received first ISO certificate for Quality Management System of Aircraft and Engineering services earlier on August 2020.
ISO 9001:15 certificate which was issued by United Registrar of System and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) with an expiry date of 28 December 2024 is a globally recognized Quality Management Standard and to earn this certificate is a huge achievement for Himalaya Airlines.
Through an effective Quality Management System, International Organisation of Standadization provides the certification to any company if their product and services meets the needs of the customers.
Himalaya Airlines (H9)is a Nepal- China joint venture which was established in 2014 and currently serves its flights to seven international destinations, Tribhuwan International Airport (Kathmandu) being the home station. Following are the international destinations of HImalay Airlines
