Badimalika is what you might want to call a hidden gem of Nepal. Located at the far western region in the Bajura district, this place has been discovered and recognised as one of the travel destination few years back. Badimalika is 4200m high from the sea level, so it is going to be a moderate trek. 

The picture of wonderful landscape of Badimalika has kept people talking about this place for a while now. People are already heading on for trek to this wonderful place. Having said that, this place does not seem to have much visitors as other travel destinations as it is yet to be fully discovered.

Badimalika is located at one of the remote areas of Nepal. So it is hardly touched by the essence of this modern world. No lodges, tea-houses, homestays or anything like that but pure natural beauty. A small temple at the top of Badimalika and a wonderful landscape with several other natural beauties is what this place has to offer to its visitors. 

It might be a little different than other treks where you get to see mountain ranges, wild trekking trails but a real peaceful and soothing place. 

The temple at the top of Badimalika is one of the highlights of this place which receives a handful of tourists headed for pilgrimage tours. Apart from that, major highlight, however, is at Tribeni, Patan where you find yourself to an open space of the wonderful landscape like you have seen in the pictures.

  • (Since there are no lodges, tea-houses and other accomodation, so bring every equipment required for the food and shelter that you will need to stay overnight at this place)

Best time for Badimalika Trek

The best time to head on for Badimalika Trek seems to be the Autumn season when the sky is clear and you get the proper views of the landscapes which you do not want to miss. Having said that, you can head on for Badimalika Trek anytime of the year. Be careful with the trails during monsoon and other calamities like landslides during that time.

How long will it take for the whole journey?

From Kathmandu to Badimalika and back, it is a week long journey but it can take more than a week which totally depends on the trekkers.
