Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) has announced the date extension for application for Trekking Guide and Trekking Porter Guide training for the next session. Application form for the trekking guide training is now open.
The date for the application form for trekking and porter guide has extended till 7 Mangsir (last date for form submission).
Here is the criteria set for Trekking Guide and Trekking porter guide
1. Trekking Guide
Qualification
+2 passed or SEE passed with two year experience in the registered trekking agency.
Available seats for trekking guide in NATHM: 500
Time period: 5 weeks
Cost for trekking guide training in NATHM: Rs 5000
2. Trekking Porter Guide
Qualification
Can understand and translate any international language having two years experience as a trekking porter or SEE passed
Available seats: 40
Time period: 15 days
Cost for Trekking Porter Guide: Rs 3000
The above information is taken from the notice provided by Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management on their Facebook page. The notice also mentions about the contact date after form submission which is 10 Mangsir 2078.
Furthermore the selection process for the trekking guide and porter guide will be made through interview round. After the selection of the candidates, the training for trekking guide 2078 is said to start from the third week of Mangsir.
Note
The candidates who are selected for the training has to attend all the classes and sessions organised by the institution during the time period. Only then the candidates will be eligible for exams.
Along with trekking and Porter guide, NATHM is also providing Barista, Basic House keeping, Basic food and beverage service(waiter) and Basic good preparation and control (cook) training as well. The dates for the application form are same.
