The concerned authorities have now made an official announcement regarding the official open of tourism in Nepal to visitors around the world. With this news, the on arrival visa services has finally resumed in Nepal but with slight terms and conditions.

On arrival visa services has been one of the major attractions for the tourists to travel Nepal. The service was halted due to the covid-19 conditions. Now that the on arrival visa services has resumed, tourist can travel freely to Nepal once again.

Nepal will provide on arrival visa services to those tourists only who are fully vaccinated. Visitors need to provide genuine documents or certificate which can prove that they are fully vaccinated. Not only that, tourists who can show the vaccination certificate are not required to stay in a hotel quarantine as well. However, they need to provide PCR test report 72 hr prior to boarding the flight.

On the other part, tourists who are not vaccinated and the ones with partially vaccinated should stay on hotel quarantine upon arrival to Nepal. The on arrival visa services are only provide with prior recommendation from their travel agent in Nepal. You need to consult with your travel agent for visa services. You can also contact the Nepalese embassy for that.

Update: The new updated protocols says that the tourists who are not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated will not be provided with on arrival visa in Nepal. They will have to get their visa before hand from the Nepalese Embassy for their visit to Nepal.

Apart from that the several important documents are needed to travel to Nepal like hotel booking, PCR report, Travel insurance and likewise.

While Nepal is fully open to traveling for the visitors, some of the local communities or areas might have set their own regulations for traveling within. This might only be for the time being due to covid-19 conditions.

How is the latest covid-19 situation in Nepal like?

The Government of Nepal did launch rapid covid-19 vaccination programs. As of writing, most of the Nepalese are already vaccinated. However, there are few hundreds of daily new cases of covid-19 but the daily new number of recovered patients tops it. Covid-19 might be less of a threat this time.

With just over a week left for Dashain, this might be a perfect time to travel Nepal as there will be no crowds and not a single busy environment at all. This might be a great chance to travel Nepal with a favourable environment after the lockdown.
