After two long years of dreadful situation in the global tourism sector, things have started to change gradually for good. With rapid vaccination programs throughout the nation, specially at the capital, Nepal is now ready to welcome the visitors. Hence, Nepal is now officially open for the tourists traveling from different parts of the world.
The news has been officially published by Nepal Tourism Board. Depart of Immigration, Nepal has also come up with new regulations and protocols regarding the visa services and everything required. Things look real good and there might be smooth resumption of tourism in Nepal this time.
Moving on to the new protocols that Nepal has set for the visitors. Both vaccinated and not vaccinated tourists can now visit Nepal. However, they both have different protocols to be followed.
For the vaccinated tourists traveling to Nepal,
• You can get visa before arrival by contacting the Nepalese Embassy
• You can also get visa on arrival
• No quarantine required
For the not vaccinated tourists traveling to Nepal,
• You can also contact Nepalese Embassy to get visa before arrival
• Visa on arrival is possible but only with pre recommendation from your travel agent in Nepal
• 10 days hotel quarantine is required. PCR test will be done in the 11th day, only then will you be able to travel within the country
Apart from this, you will have to bring the following documents which will be required to travel Nepal,

• Vaccinated Certificate
• Visa on arrival
• Hotel booking
• 72 hr prior PCR negative report
• CCMC form ( Find the form from the CCMC Nepal website www.ccmc.gov.np)
These are the key information provided by the Tourism Board of Nepal for the visitors to travel to Nepal now that it is officially open. The post by NTB also mentions that the visitors should be vaccinated At least 14 days before they travel. Along with that, Department of Immigration, Nepal has also updated and came up with new protocols in favour of the visitors.
There has been a sudden spike in the arrival of tourists to Nepal in last couple of months compared to last year’s. Now with Nepal being officially open for tourism, we can only hope for more.
