Nepal plans to resume all commercial flights.

The air travel for commercial flights has been suspended in Nepal since March 24 due to the spread of corona virus. The domestic and international commercial flights were all suspended throughout the world. Only the chartered flights to bring people back to their country and the flights to being medical supplies were made throughout this pandemic. The suspension of air travel has created a huge impact for the tourism and hospitality industry. There is a massive drop on the tourist arrival. Hotels and Travel agents have suffered a great loss. A couple of hoteliers have mentioned that they are likely to go bankrupt if the situation goes on like this and if Government could not find a proper solution to this situation.
After more than 3 months of suspension and still not over yet, Nepal plans to resume air travel for all commercial flights. The Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA)  said that they are planning to resume the air travel for all domestic and international flights from August 1. According to the ministry, they have also directed the concerned authorities to prepare the resumption of the flights. The flights are set to resume by taking necessary precautions. CAAN has prepared a set of guidelines as per the  ICAO and WHO safety standards.
The commercial flights are likely to resume from August 1 but the plan also depends on the behaviour of the virus as per the Ministry of Tourism. However, the flights are prepared by taking the necessary precautions and maintaining social distancing rules. The passengers who are using the air travel might need the latest covid-19 test results to fly. With just the resumption of air travel, it is hard for the tourism industry to get back to normal as the tourists needs  assurance about the safe travel, a safe community where they are traveling to. They need a very high assurance this time.
